Carri's Story
At the age of 12, Carri was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Since then, she has become passionate about healing and has dedicated her life to understanding how the body can best be brought into harmonious balance for longevity and well-being. After breaking free of medical tyranny, Carri has successfully recovered from Crohn's disease. Since then, she has achieved a level of health that has liberated her from the constant barrage of doctors, tests, and pharmaceuticals.
Exploring alternative therapies became a way of life that ignited a deep desire to remedy the suffering of others. This guided her to master and share the modalities that have helped her.
Carri's Accreditations
Carri has been in private practice with Chinese Medical Massage since February of 2000, graduating from The Swedish Institute of NYC with an Associate's Degree in Massage Therapy.
In addition, Carri received her official teacher training certification at Asheville Yoga in 2007 after training for many years beforehand. Integrating the teachings of yoga philosophy and asana into her holistic healing practice, she enjoys connecting dots (meridian and marma points) between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Melding these understandings with myofascial release, Carri has created a unique style of bodywork, combining the sensitivity of energetic work with the depth of connective tissue work. Her table work often incorporates movement and active breathing for a more integrative massage experience.
Movement practices have always been an important part of Carri's life. Her passion for movement began with her dance training at age 2 and led her to graduate from the conservatory at North Carolina School of the Arts. She also trained in Musical Theater at Marymount Manhattan College in NYC until 1998. Because of her connection to movement, Carri learned the ancient practices of Qi Gong and Tai Qi.
Breathing and movement practices were powerful healing tools for her intestinal trauma, becoming the focus of her personal practice for many years. Carri was first introduced to Tai Qi in massage school. Discovering this powerful tool, she finally ventured to China in 2017, training in the temples of Yunnan Province of China. There, she learned the Taoist meditation and longevity practices of Qi Gong, studied tea ceremonies, and continued to deepen her love of traditional Chinese culture and wisdom.
Carri is a 4th year graduate of the Supreme Science Qi Gong Center. She completed her training in their proprietary Conquering Any Disease Food Healing System in 2015, educating people on the healing powers of phytochemicals and replacing drugs with food.
Furthering her education, Carri became certified in Microscopic Live Blood Analysis in 2020, a tool that can help determine nutritional deficiencies, organ stress, and cellular toxicity. She then embarked on a quest to liberate her body of toxicity through the Peruvian healing practice of Kambo detoxification. Thanks to her success, she became certified in 2019. Kambo has taken her all over the US to administer this sacred ceremonial medicine, helping many people achieve new heights of clarity in mind, body, and spirit.
Carri is dedicated to assisting health-conscious individuals in their quest for sovereignty. She continues to serve with generosity and mercy as her highest ideals.
“May all beings be happy, May all beings be free, May all beings be free from suffering!”
